In a comparison study of five different travel rewards credit cards, the results show that the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard lives up to its claim of world elite and beats the other credit cards hands down.

How could this be, when the results also show that in a comparison study, many of these credit cards are almost the same?

Starting with the scores for Annual Fee, all 4 cards compared are the same: the charge is $0.00 for the first year, and this includes the Barclaycard Arrival World Elite MasterCard (there’s no Plus in the name.) The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard charges an annual fee of $89 after the first year, but this fee is negligible compared to the many benefits you will receive.

Working down the list, all the credit cards compared give 2 points for each dollar spent at restaurants or on travel. The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard is the only credit card in the comparison group that gives 2 points per dollar spent on all other purchases. This is a major advantage, seeing that most of the money you spend while traveling will be on those “Other Purchases.”

What else makes the Arrival Plus from Barclaycard the best? This credit card will offer 10% of your travel miles back to you, when you redeem your travel points. This means, once you’ve crunched the numbers, that each of your miles travelled is worth 2.2 cents.

Don’t forget that the Arrival Plus is a world elite MasterCard, which means that it offers some extra luxuries. On some flights you will be able to upgrade to Business Class, and you can also get discounts on the services of a chauffeur. The customer service is excellent for this credit card, which also suits its status as a world elite card.

This credit card is now made with an EMV chip, so payments to Europay, MasterCard and Visa are accepted internationally. The Barclaycard Arrival Plus also allows a PIN number to be added to your card’s security measures. This makes it EU compliant and you won’t have to sign your name for every transaction. To top it off, there are no transaction fees on purchases you make overseas.

An exceptional highlight of owning this credit card is the 40,000 bonus miles you will receive after spending $3,000 within the first 90 days of being a cardholder. A complimentary FICO credit rating is also available to card owners.

With its additional Monthly Bonus Offers and all of the advantages mentioned so far, this credit card is perfect for frequent flyers and entrepreneurs who deal often in European markets.
